4S Framework: A practical CPS Design Security assessment and Benchmarking framework
Nov 20th, 2021
Publisher : Willey

In this chapter we present a Cyber-Physical System(CPS) benchmarking framework - 4S. The framework is used to perform quality assurance test of a Cyber-Physical system while it is still in its design phase. In this chapter, We have explained the need for a comprehensive framework for security assessment of MCPSs and have proposed one, named 4S (Step-by-Step, Systematic, Score Based, Security Pivotal) Assessment & Benchmarking Framework. An incisive assessment on a hypothetical MCPS has been carried out to illustrate the use of the proposed framework.

Deep Learning model-based Multimedia Forgery detection
Nov 10th, 2020
Publisher : IEEE

Advances in technology have given rise to several techniques that can easily generate fake images or videos. Deepfakes and spliced images are some of the results of such advances. They pose a great menace to the internet Tackling and detecting such an entity is a tricky task. Our paper portrays a technique to detect such entities. It will assist people in detecting bogus content and have confidence in the legitimacy of the content on the internet We present a description of CNN based approach and evaluate its results. The drawbacks of the traditional approach have been minimized using Inception Residual Network architecture-based CNNs.

The Invisible Eye: A security Architecture to protect MotorWays
Feb 15th, 2020
Publisher : Springer

Two peculiar problems that come into the picture when considering road security are first, lack of availability of automated, intelligent and feasible systems on motorways that can detect vulnerabilities in passing automobiles and second, knowability and visibility of any security mechanism used for checking the vehicles is an easy task for anyone traveling by the road under surveillance. This chapter introduces an intelligent cop assisting system TIE (The Invisible Eye). The system senses parameters that aren’t direct knowable by anyone at their first glance on the vehicle like weight, etc, and makes them available to the security personnel(s) deployed to check those vehicles. Also, the system would provide a vulnerability index and it can be deployed in an unnoticeable way.
